Anyone have a good idea as far as employment for satellite communications firms?

I currently have 8 1/2 years experience as a Satellite/Wideband/Telemetry Craftsman in the Air Force and 2 1/2 years as a technical training instructor for AETC, the Air Force’s training arm. I have two associates degrees from the Community College of the Air Force, one in electronics, the other essentially a teaching certificate. I’m looking for a technician or engineering position but am not afraid to go back into the classroom and teach again. I’ve poked around every imaginable employment site and see that they all require Bachelor’s Degrees and higher for employment. I am going to go into a Bachelor awarding course to further my knowledge in electronics when i find employment using my GI Bill. I primarily want to look for a position in the Northeast but am willing to go nationwide or even overseas for the right job. Help! I don’t want to feel like I wasted the last eight years of my life!!
